Apple enthusiasts have been waiting anxiously to learn when they will be able to buy the company's first wearable device since it was introduced at a September event. The specific date is still unknown, but a recent leak has set spring 2015 as a reference. Specialized website 9to5Mac had the news on Sunday, releasing the transcript of a video message from vice president of retail and online sales Angela Ahrendts.
In the video, Ahrendts specifically mentions the Chinese New Year, which will begin on February 19, as an important date, before adding, "and then we've got a new watch launch coming in the spring." Earlier reports had suggested that Apple would target a Valentine's Day release date for the Apple Watch, but it looks like the wait will be a bit longer than that.
Another recent report states that the company is preparing a large-size tablet for the second half of 2015. The rumors of an iPad with a screen larger than 12 inches have been swirling for a while, but were seemingly pushed aside when the iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 were released last month. The iPad Pro, as it is reportedly called, will use a specifically modified version of iOS 8 that would allow for split screen functionality.
After the unprecedented product rollout of this fall, 2015 will certainly not match this year in terms of volume, but the Apple Watch and split screen iPad would be major additions to the company's roster. With certified Apple training, users can learn to take full advantage of the innovations that are constantly coming out of Cupertino.
