The Apple blogosphere has been filled with stories of mobile devices, iOS 7 and fancy new colors. While this is all speculation geared toward the press event next week, another product launch was confirmed today.
Last week, we reported that the iPad would not be a part of next week's announcement and could have a launch event of its own in October. Now, according to 9to5mac, there could be another launch event at the end of next month involving Apple's other major product line – computers.
The blog is predicting that on October 30, the company will launch OS X Mavericks, the new version of the computer operating system that was unveiled at the WorldWide Developers Conference earlier this summer. The blog cites an unnamed source that confirms Mavericks will debut "at the end of October." The new source goes on to say that this could be the beginning of a series of the computer line that could be updated in the next few months.
"In addition to the new Mac software, Apple is expected to release a slew of new Macs this fall. This includes updated versions of the Mac Pro, iMac, and MacBook Pro. Perhaps these new Macs will arrive in October alongside (or around) the launch of Mavericks," the article reads.
If the rumors are true, this means that almost the entire Apple product line could be upgraded in time for the holiday shopping season and that does not include the possibility of new product lines (iWatch, iTelevision, etc). Companies could suddenly find themselves facing a barrage of new products and will be able to get through it with the help of an IT consulting firm that specializes in Mac integration.
