We are only a few weeks away from Apple's annual Worldwide Developers Conference. The eyes of the technology world will be on Moscone West in San Francisco as Apple CEO Tim Cook delivers the keynote address on June 2 at 10 a.m. Pacific time.
A recent article from Apple Insider examined some of the things we know for certain about the event. The information comes from a new update to the official WWDC application for iOS. The logo for the event does not tip the hand in anyway and the design is simple and elegant.
While the keynote address is sure to be what everyone is talking about, there are many other events happening of the course of the week long event. These include:
- More than 100 technical sessions presented by Apple engineers on a wide range of topics for developing, deploying and integrating the latest iOS and OS X technologies
- More than 1,000 Apple engineers supporting over 100 hands-on labs and events to provide developers with code-level assistance, insight into optimal development techniques and guidance on how they can make the most of iOS and OS X technologies in their apps
- The latest innovations, features and capabilities of iOS and OS X on display, and learn how to enhance an app's functionality, performance, quality and design
- The possibility to network with thousands of fellow iOS and OS X developers from around the world—last year more than 60 countries were represented
- A new series of gatherings for attendees that feature special guest speakers and activities that touch on the worlds of technology, science and entertainment
- Apple Design Awards which recognize iPhone, iPad and Mac apps that demonstrate technical excellence, innovation and outstanding design.
The aftermath of WWDC is sure to be a run on Apple support services as companies try to figure out how the new software and hardware can be used to improve their business.
