With all things Apple, the moment an event has ended, the tech community goes back to guessing at what else the company could be working on. Now that the Worldwide Developers Conference has come to a close, experts and enthusiasts alike are speculating on the next big announcement.
Unsurprisingly, the latest report is about a device that has been rumored for some time – the iWatch. This has been in the blogosphere since late 2012, and every event since then has lead to disappointment when the device is not released.
According to an article from the Los Angeles Times, the company will be releasing the device at the end of October. This comes from reports out of Japan's Nikkei Asian Review that speculate that the devices will come with a curved touch screen and be designed to collect health data. It will run on a version of iOS, the platform that runs the iPhone and iPad.
The article also mentions that following the keynote address, Cantor Fitzgerald analyst Brian White said that he expects an announcement to be made in September, when Apple normally unveils the new iPhone and iPod. It will have a price point between $199 and $229.
All of this is speculation, but Apple CEO Tim Cook and others have been hinting that new product pipelines are coming by the end of 2014. For now, all we can do is speculate, but businesses can partner with an Apple training and support service to better understand Mac systems before a new product is added.
