With how quickly the business landscape is evolving, it is increasingly difficult for businesses to keep up. This issue is compounded by the fact that some systems require additional training or certification before any professional can claim they have the handle on it.
A recent article from CITEworld, examined this idea further. Ryan Faas, the author of the piece, makes the case that the Worldwide Developers Conference – the 2014 version will be held June 2 through 6 – is one of the best places to find resources when it comes to training and building skills as an iOS or Mac developer.
Apple also offers several ways to gain certification in a number of its enterprise specific solutions including support and troubleshooting OS X, integrating Macs into a Windows-centric infrastructure and troubleshooting and repairing Apple hardware. There are also a number of software solutions including Aperture, Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro available.
However, the mobile platform has always been absent from this area. The company has released several mobile enterprise solutions over the last year including app licensing, the device enrollment program and several smaller management, security and deployment features. However, an actual training and certification platform has not been touched on.
"As with all things Apple, there's no way to know if iOS training or certification is under consideration, being built behind the scenes, or not on the radar at all," Faas writes. "If the company does decide to make a move here, however, it could bolster iOS as the preferred enterprise platform, something that might blunt the enterprise moves being made around Android."
