The iWatch has been a long-rumored product from Apple and its entrance into the wearable technology landscape. Despite being talked about and teased on the blogs for over a year, there has been nothing but rumor and speculation. While the expectation is that the smartwatch market is going to explode in the coming year, Apple may be smart in waiting until they are ready to launch.
In September, the technology landscape was captivated by Samsung Galaxy Gear. The advertising campaign featured famous pop culture watches including Dick Tracy, Get Smart and Star Trek followed by unveiling the Galaxy Gear. It had many people talking, but unfortunately the buzz did not translate to sales and the version looks like it could be a flop.
According to a recent article from Bloomberg, the company may already be back at the drawing board planning the release of the next version early this year. Lee Young Hee, the executive vice president of mobile at Samsung, was interviewed and said a new Galaxy Gear would be debuted this year alongside the forthcoming Galaxy S5 smartphone.
"We've been announcing our first flagship model in the first half of each year, around March and April, and we are still targeting for release around that time," Hee told the news source. "When we release our S5 device, you can also expect a Gear successor with more advanced functions, and the bulky design will also be improved."
Apple seems to be letting the market settle and is waiting to release a product that will stand above the competition. An IT consulting services that specializes in Mac integration can help any business be ready for the future.
