The 20th FileMaker Developer Conference will take place July 20–23 at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. DevCon is an annual event where developers have the chance to present their work, refine their skills and exchange ideas. Registration costs $2,095, but the company has made discounts available for early bird signups.
Attendees who register until the end of March will pay only $1,295 and receive a library of 55 recorded sessions from DevCon 2014, which was held last summer in San Antonio. The price between April 1 and May 26 will be $1,595. All attendees will receive a free copy of FileMaker Pro Advanced, a $549 value. As a group discount, companies that register three employees will obtain a fourth registration for free.
DevCon events will cover everything from design and technical aspects to big data and social media use and the business applications of FileMaker. Attendees can learn about development and best practices and network with other users, as well as with FileMaker engineers, product managers and technical support experts. There will be an Exhibitor Showcase to highlight add-ons and services, a Women of FileMaker luncheon and a young developers social.
This year's edition will also feature a 20th anniversary party and, for the first time, a one-day pre-conference training event for beginner and intermediate users. Experienced trainers will deliver the classes, which will cost $99 and not require registration in the main conference.
MC Services provides FileMaker training for businesses that want to take full advantage of the database software's capabilities. With proper instruction, companies can create their own databases and customize and expand them as their needs evolve.
