With the original version of the Apple Watch, Apple introduced “grid” view. In this display, tiny icons for each app are randomly arranged in a circular pattern—making it difficult to locate a desired app. A more sensible display option is “list” view, which shows all of the app icons next to their names, sorted alphabetically.
If your Apple Watch shows apps in “grid” view when you press the Digital Crown, you can alternatively select “List View” within the “App View” tab of the Watch app on your iPhone. You can also complete these steps on the watch itself, in the Settings app.
